It was time for an update for this lovely family! From dark and dated to light and airy, this cozy family home underwent a stunning makeover. From paint to lighting to furniture and decor, the transformation is amazing!

After living in their home for years, this family was ready for a change. The kids are growing up and their family space was ready to grow up too. Our mission…create a space to gather, invite friends and family over and also have fun family game nights, all while still having a cozy vibe…done! Bringing in lighter and softer colours made the space feel bigger and more inviting. Adding additional functionality with more seating and side tables to accommodate larger groups was a must. The requested greens and blues were the perfect touch to balance out the warm dark wood paneling throughout the house while creating a natural feel throughout the space.

The adjacent dining room also needed a little touch! Starting with the stunning blue grey built-ins accented with gold hardware and wood shelves, it’s an entertainer’s dream. Functional and beautiful with the geometric wallpaper accent, under shelf lighting and wood countertop for serving. A new wood table was the perfect size for the space with plenty of seating including a bench to keep the view open to the window. Finished off with a plush carpet and new chandelier, this space is ready for the next dinner party hang or lego set to be built!

With the living space as the main focus, we couldn’t forget about the primary oasis! Pulling the space together with a rich green geometric accent wall and new wood furniture brought the natural feel of outdoors into this primary bedroom. The neutral bedding, black accents and custom green grey blackout drapes brought the rest of the space together with a cozy, relaxing feel. The functional storage was accented with a few decorative touches including a family photo custom framed above the dresser. To use the space well and add some extra functionality, a floor mirror was added in the corner along with a cozy patterned ottoman to be the perfect “getting ready” spot. Small, but mighty, this room offers a stunning space to unwind in at the end of the day.
