The Design Process

Design Consultation

The Design Consultation is the key starting point for every MMID project! The consultation is an on site meeting (or virtual) for up to two hours to review the space, confirm the scope of work and budget, review functionality requirements and initiate ideas. This is the time to ask questions, review the process and make sure everyone is on the same page. All decision makers should be present for the design consultation.

Trade Day

Trade Day is the information gathering day. MMID meets all the trades on site to walk through the space, take detailed measurements and a full site analysis for the scope of work. The trades will gather any information they need to produce quotes based on the scope of work.

Concept & Design Development

After Trade Day, MMID gets to work on developing the design concept and budget. Once a preliminary concept is put together, MMID will hold a virtual meeting with you to review the concept before proceeding to final design.
Once the review is complete, the final design and budget will be put together. The team will gather samples, pricing, and any other details to present to you along with visuals. The visuals can include floor plans, 3D renderings, material boards and more. Quotes from trades including budget numbers based on the current scope will also be presented.

Presentation

Presentation day is an exciting time for clients and the MMID team. It's time to see your vision come to life...on screen anyway!
MMID will bring drawings, 3D renderings, material samples, quotes and anything else needed to portray the design concept to you.
At this meeting, budget and design will be reviewed to get sign off approval before ordering.

Ordering & Design Management

Now the fun begins...it's time to start ordering products and materials! After sign off is received, the MMID team gets to work on placing orders, scheduling trades, receiving/storing items, submitting any claims, managing site visits, etc.
During this time, trades will be working on site if any construction/remodeling is part of the scope. They will have the full design plan to work from and collaborate with MMID.
This part of the process can be when headaches, stress and frustration arise. With MMID's full service interior design, you don't have to worry. MMID handles it all and makes the process as care free for you as possible!

Installation & Styling

Installation and styling is the final piece to the puzzle! Once construction is done, furniture is received and decor is ready to be styled, it's time to bring it all together. The MMID team comes in to set up the space including furniture deliveries/moves, hanging art/mirrors/decor, making beds and styling every space in the scope of work.
Before the reveal, the MMID team will come in with their photographer to get final photos of the space for the portfolio.

Reveal & Project Completion

The best part of the project...reveal day! Once the space is fully installed, the MMID team reveals the space to you. This can look different depending on the type of project, but we love to have some sort of final reveal to make a grand yahoo at the end of the project!
Once we leave and you have time to soak in your new space, we invite you to let us know if there is anything you're unsure about, questions we can answer or issues that need solving. We won't be happy until you're happy. If any deficiencies arise, we are here to get them corrected for you asap.
The MMID team will prepare a final digital document with any pertinent information you may need after the project is complete.
