Sage Bluff Family Home

From builder basic to family fantasy, this stunning Brookfield Residential home in Sage Hill was well built and ready for this young family to move into. There was something missing that this family couldn't put their finger on and brought me in to help!

Their new home needed a personal touch! From builder grade to beautiful, cozy and just right, this living room was transformed into a family friendly space. The large wall with the standard fireplace was functional, but had no pizzaz. We brought it to life with some lovely paneling above to ground the TV and create an elegant feel. The creamy white paint balances out the warmth of the fireplace tile and ties in their existing sofas. Surrounding the fireplace with stunning built-in shelving and cabinets not only created a functional space for display and storage, but also created a high end accent wall. The focal point draws you in and creates a warm welcome. Just imagine those cool fall nights cozy in front of the fireplace watching a movie…sign me up!

The goal was to bring my clients a nice, functional space that served as a lovely space to host guests, while also accommodating their kids. I did just that! The wall of built-ins creates a luxurious, custom feel that will wow everyone that comes over to visit. We were challenged with creating a fun space for the kids while still keeping it adult friendly. By adding a small area rug on it’s own, we created a second space of it’s own and created the kids corner, perfect for reading, playing or watching tv. The built-in cabinets provide practical storage for toys, books and games with easy access for young ones.

The other component of the space was making the furniture work for the family and the space. Not only were their current sofas the right size for the space, but they served their need and saved my clients money. We added a pop of color and texture with the abstract area rug full of blues and creams. The wood coffee table and side table added to the warmth of the room and added another textural element. The kids space received a RugsUSA washable area rug as well as some cozy bean bag chairs to curl up in with a great book! The kids sure were excited to see their very own space!
